Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Nine

Holy Crap. Only a few more drawings and then I reach a full year. Fracking bizarre.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Eight

I went to Chicago with Jenna a few years ago. There is this one picture I love of myself standing on a bridge. My scarf is blowing and I am just looking off into the distance. In the picture I'm holding a cup of coffee but I forgot to draw it here for some reason.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Seven

Just a collection. A mishmash of whatever.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Six

I found a picture of a girl crying a single tear. But half her face was in darkness. Covered in shade. It was quite a pretty picture.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Five

I was at a coffee shop where there was this big lamp. It was like a chinese lantern. There was a sofa near it.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Four

I just imagined this guy with energy just radiating off him. In wing shape for some reason. And hedgehogs.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-Three

Just a thought.

More Regina Spektor. This is supposed to be a little plant tray with moss all over it. Like you would see on a Bonsai Tree.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifty-One

I imagined someone just holding up all the crap in the world. All the darkness, all the hatred, just this horrible looking little ball. Holding it in the air as far away from him as he could. And not wanting to drop it, for fear that it would spread.

Just running free.

Day Three-Hundred and Forty-Nine

The trailers for Where the Wild Things are contain a song by Arcade Fire. Its pretty great. Gets stuck in your mind. Or at least mine.

Day Three-Hundred and Forty-Eight

This guy looks like some sort of troll. It was supposed to be, but it does.

Day Three-Hundred and Forty-Seven

I remember in cartoons where you would see the character miles away at a wall. The hallway seemed to go one forever. And it was so far away it was hopeless to try and reach the end where the person was.

Day Three-Hundred and Forty-Six

I was listening to Regina Spektor at work the other day. I heard this song and just had this image of someone lonely looking out the window. And instead of seeing a park, or sunset, or something from nature all they saw was a building.

Day Three-Hundred and Forty-Five

I was looking through some boxes I had around and found this ring Alena had given me in college. It had random designs on it. I doodled them. I never really wore the ring but I did keep it in a box. Its still in the box.

Day Three-Hundred and Forty-Four

A few years ago I started listening to Minus the Bear on someone's suggestion. I still do, but the only album I have is Planet of Ice. I forget which song it is, but someone scream 'What have you done.' Sticks in the mind.

I wanted this weird shot of someone asleep in the rain. I got as far as asleep.

We listen to Norah Jones to put the kids to sleep at work. It works.

Michael Turner is a comic book artist with a very unique and recognizable style. You can look at his work and tell its him and when people are trying to imitate him. Its not hard to imitate, but is unique.

The t-shirts I get commented on the most are ones my little sister Mim got me. One of them is brown with about a million characters on it. Just two eyes and an outline of a body. So I emulated a little bit.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-Nine

I've been rereading Alice in Wonderland and currently Through the Looking Glass. The etchings by in it are amazing. I particularly love the garden at the beginning of Through the Looking Glass. So I thought I'd draw flowers.

I hit up the same Postal Service song again today for this drawing.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-Six

So I've been listening to a comedy show on the radio, well old episodes of the show. Its called the Phil Hendrie show and its freaking hilarious. But because these are only old segments from the show they bookend them with different songs. The one today was from the Postal Service. Luckily I happen to have that album on my iPod, so I drew to it.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-Three

I was at the park looking up at birds in the distance. They were all different shapes and sizes. Just circling. I loved how there were distinct shapes by also almost featureless.

You ever had a song stuck in your head, and need just dance or move to it.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty-One

I ran track and cross-country in high school. This is a picture of me from senior year. I muffed up the left hand, but otherwise it came out pretty close to the picture I have.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirty

I started this drawing of a picture I found online. It had this woman looking upwards and away (sort of) with a nifty jacket on that had a high neck to it. In the middle of drawing I had to put it down to do something more immediate. I never picked it back up.
