“And for no reason that rain that fell, that normal, typical rain felt cleansing.
And I slept better that night than I had in a long.”
Late night inner monologues are weird.

I had a dream that Mim and I were on some sort of road trip in my father’s old car. It was night and we were on a country highway. Mim was driving and I was reading on my Kindle.
I mentioned how I was going to nap, but we couldn’t get the dome light to shut off, only dim. I closed my eyes for a second and the car veered. Mim said she was nodding off and I agreed to drive when we pulled over. Before that could happen the dash board lights started to flash. The check engine light came on, and the gas light came on but then went back off. Before anything else happened the whole dashboard went dark and we were just about to drive into a small town.
So that was that dream.
I had a second one where I was hiking in the woods and there was a river gorge (not a deep one) right next the path I was hiking on. A little down the river gorge a lion and a bear were wrestling. An older lion was sitting in a chair judging their wrestling match. It was weird.
When you a blister on your foot from running… Pop it and drain it.
When a second on appears right underneath the first… Pop that one too.
When it then is just a flap of skin hanging off your foot, just cut it off.
It will sting when you take a shower though.
I’ve been trying to push up my wake up time lately. Not for any reason in particular. But for my own benefit. I thought I could get more done in the morning.
So I woke up half an hour ago, at 5:45. So far I made coffee (one mug for right now, travel mug for on the way to work), made lunch (turkey and cheese wrap, with lettuce and light dressing, two apples, and a small bag of sun chips), ate a banana, drank a cup of juicy juice (soooo good), scooped cat poop and took a shower.
Now I’m updating my blog (obviously) and reading the news while listening to NPR. Getting my ass out of bed 15 minutes early apparently gets me into productive mode.
Last week a co-worker called me evil, but just a little bit evil.
I like that.
