Delaware
Simple beach picture from last week.
It was hot, sunny and amazingly relaxing all week on the beach.
It’s the old joke…
about weathermen being able to be wrong so often by so much.
Yesterday I was waiting for a break in the rain to go biking. Around 3 the rain stopped outside my apartment, and I checked different weather forecasts (mostly Weather.com and Wunderground.com) to see if it’d hold off long enough to get a bike ride in.
Weather.com gave a 0% chance of rain from 3pm – 4pm, 5% chance of rain from 4pm to 5pm and a 20% chance of rain from 5pm to 6pm, and increasing chance of rain past that. Wunderground was higher than that, giving a 20% chance of rain until 5pm, when it jumped up considerable to around 60% chance of rain.
However both radar and future radar showed the clouds clearing up and no rain. I took it as a good sign that this was the best chance I’d get, and maybe I could get in 30 – 40 miles of biking in.
About a half mile in it started sprinkling. No big deal. Around the first mile marker it turned to downpour, and continued until I decided to cut my ride short around mile 12 and turn around. Thankfully it let up for the ride home.
Wait.
No.
That’s a lie. It seemed to pour harder the whole way home. That pelting rain that lets you feel every drop. That’s the rain that was going on while I was biking.
And thus… I hate the weatherman. All of them.
But that’s just based on my personal experiences.
Driving
Dear Chesapeake Bay Bridge,
Thank you for proving that one cannot drive from Ohio to Delaware, and vice versa, without getting a serious case of road rage.
The extra two and half hours of driving time are much appreciated.

Dragon Ball Z
I have a weird urge to watch Dragon Ball Z. I’m not sure where it came from, but thankfully there are a bajillion episodes of Dragon Ball Z on Hulu I can watch to fill the urge.
It just reminds me of college, when we actually watched Dragon Ball Z. Hell, if the stories of my life are to be believed Pat and I are only such good friends now because of Dragon Ball Z and its ability to sell the belief that you become better friends through fighting. But that’s a story I can save for the Best Man Speech at his wedding.
For now I can secretly watch and episode or two after Sam goes to sleep and hide my shame. And, like my mind told me before I watched a single episode, it’s really not a great show. But its good in that stupid guilty pleasure sort of way.
Daily Drawings
I’ve ignored uploading Daily Drawings for a long time.
Since roughly March 2011. I’ve kept up with them for the most part. I fall behind when I’m busy, but make up drawings when I’m not.
I spent today scanning in the rest of my 2011 drawings. And spent the rest of my time tonight uploading a bunch of them. I uploaded April 2011, May 2011, June 2011 and all of July 2011 on my Daily Drawings page.
I’ll work tomorrow on uploading some more to my Daily Drawings page. I’m hoping to get all of 2011 uploaded soon, and when I get back from Delaware I’ll work on scanning in and uploading 2012 Daily Drawings during the rest of the summer.
Who knows… maybe I’ll get back into scanning on a daily basis.
