A dream conversation?

I’m trying to remember if this conversation was a real one or a dream. I have a pretty clear memory of it happening, and it seems logical, but the topic itself makes me think it was a dream. I’ll have to wait til Sam comes home from work to ask her about it.

Anyways, the conversation was about whether or not God could remove devil horns (I had a specific name for the horns, they were Pan horns than devil horns – curly ram type horns). I took the argument that he couldn’t. Sam was arguing that he could (which is weird… Sam is an aethiest – another point that it was a dream). I don’t remember actually points we made, but at one point I started shaking my head saying “uh uhn” over and over again while smiling (totally something I’d do). She then shoved me backwards, we were on the bed near Ginger’s cage. I then started tickling her (Sam’s deadly weakness, extreme ticklishness) while taunting that her laughing means I won the argument.

See. Totally logical argument between Sam and I, at least action wise, if not at all topic wise.

A Good Weekend

How do you judge a good weekend?

By what you accomplish of course.

And while Sam and I may not have “done much”…. we accomplished a lot.

Starting with Friday and seeing our new apartment.  Its nice.  We won’t be moving til August now (hopefully) but it is a sweet apartment.  Looking forward to the move.  We then went out to eat, nothing fancy… just pizza, fish fry for Sam and some drinks.  We were doing a low level celebration of Sam’s four months of not smoking.

We ended the night with episodes of House (Sam’s new addiction).  Saturday we cleaned.  We packed up books and boxes and organized.  Brought out three bags of trash, just crap to get rid off.  We then took close to 30 books to Half Priced Books to get some money back on them (not a lot granted, but some).  Did laundry (or maybe that was Friday).  Ate at Buffalo Wild Wings and did a little trivia (we didn’t bother with the controller, just tried to answer them ourselves). And ended the night watching Enter the Dragon.

Today, Sunday, we cleaned the bedroom of Gingerness – aka guinea pig mess (wait…. that was Saturday).  But we let Ginger run around with a new layout in the bedroom.  We relaxed (I played video games and Sam nerded on the internet for a bit).  We drank coffee.  We went to Target and to Giant Eagle grocery shopping.  We swept the kitchen.  We made veggie tacos for dinner… well late lunch (using Morning Star Crumbles… quite tasty).  We watched Torchwood – Season 4 – Children of Earth.  Its only five episodes long, but was good.  Nice to watch back to back.  I chatted up with Reg and Pat.  I scanned in Daily Drawings from November, December, January and February.  I watched Kingdom of Heaven (Director’s Cut) while scanning.

If that’s not a good, full, productive weekend, I’m not sure what is.  There was lots of down time, but we did a lot, even if we didn’t go out places.

Tomorrow I fix my bike.  Maybe I’ll grill as well.  Maybe I’ll scan more drawings.  We’ll see.

Not Saying

I’m not saying I have nothing to write about, but rather I’ve been pretty busy lately.  And when I have had stuff come to mind I haven’t had my computer nearby or had the time to tap it out on my phone.

But in general life goes well.  The big July 4th yesterday (which was rather a calm day).  It sort of brought my whole “I’m not a big holiday person” persona to the front.  I don’t get it.  I just don’t really care for holidays.  But that’s just me.  And the Fourth of July usually trends towards my not liking big crowds of people (I always say it brings out my hatred of people in general, but hatred is the wrong word.  It brings out how annoying people can be in a large crowd setting.)

But Sam and I walked around Edgewater late at night and saw some fireworks while we weaved in and out of slow walking lines of people.  And Sunday we finally used our zoo membership and visited the zoo.  Which I can honestly say, I enjoy the zoo a whole lot more as an adult than I think I ever possible did as a kid.  Sam and I joked about the rarity of people our age going to the zoo unless the have kids.  It seems crazy, but I love the zoo.  I’ve gone by myself before.  I love just being close to animals.  The Giant Tortoises, they’re my favorite.

Even if all they do is lay in the mud and look dead.
