Trimming Up Facebook

I’ve slowly been building up my anti-Facebook feelings as of late.  A long while ago I stopped updating my own Facebook Status and instead import any posts I have on my webpage to my page.  I have multiple friends who don’t have or use Facebook.  I have friends who hate it.

I’ve cut out co-workers. When we’re ex-coworkers then I’ll consider it.

I cut a lot of high school alumni.  I don’t feel the need to stay in touch with people I had little contact with.

I cut out random college friends.  Thankfully there was not Facebook in college.  And if we were only acquaintances in college, I’ll see you at a reunion.  Maybe.  I doubt I’ll go to any college reunions.

I cut out friends of friends, anyone from back when I played Mafia Wars, or other random connections.

I’m down under 200.  I’m thinking a trimming to under 150 would be easy.  I’m also wondering why even keep Facebook.  Its in the back of my mind.  We’ll see how I feel going forward.

Tesla Orchestra

On Saturday Sam, Jason, Danei and I went to see the Tesla Orchestra. It was amazing. I haven’t ever seen anything like it.

Basically this group used two tesla coils to make music. The electricity was turned on and off so many times a second to create different notes to match the music that was playing. A guy would stand between the tesla coils and basically catch the bolts as they come from the coils.

Amazing. Just amazing.

Ouch

After a fantastic weekend filled with a trip to the Columbus Zoo with Sam, eating at Melt, ice-cream (cause it was hot) and cleaning; I banged my thumb pretty freaking good trying to open a stuck closet in the hallway last night.

Really…. it hurts pretty good this morning.

Ouch.

Vitamins

I picked up some multivitamins last week at Target.  I got the Target brand Children’s Multivitamin (basically their Flintstone’s knockoff).  At the same visit Sam got an “Adult Multivitamin.”

After comparing the ingredients we found maybe three vitamins or minerals that had different amounts (and really small differences at that) and one mineral that wasn’t included in the children’s vitamins. Whether this was a change from Children’s multivitamins to Adults, or due to the fact that Sam’s were Women’s Multivitamins I don’t know.  But what I did learn is that one kid’s vitamin provides 95% (about) of the same vitamins and minerals found in an adult vitamin.  But just tastes better.  Lots better.  Also animal shapes.  Bonus!!!

Of course now I pop them like candy.
