Busier

Yesterday felt busier than it had any right to be.

Tuesdays are busy in that Edith has speech in the morning before preschool.  And even though speech isn’t until 11, it is 20 minutes away so I try to leave by 10:30.

So after Marceline gets on the bus and I walk back home I have 2 hours roughly till I have to leave the house with Edith.

Still tired from a great Bills weekend meant I was moving slower too – did I mention I slept on a couch in a very bright living room of the Airbnb we got.  Not that it was uncomfortable but I didn’t sleep great either night.

Anyways, get Edith breakfast, dressed, read some books, make her lunch. Snack, pack all her rain gear for preschool and we get out the door on time.

So normal, if not tired Tuesday morning.

The catch is I also have to bring two cats to get their bi-annual lion cuts at 2 because they are old and don’t do well keeping themselves clean.  And that place is also 20 minutes away.

So drop Edith at preschool after speech (12:30), head home after chatting with another parent for a second.  Get 45 minutes to make lunch and then wrangle two cats into cat carriers, load them up into the car and out the door.

After dropping I hit up Aldi’s for our weekly groceries (2 days overdue now), and have just enough time to make it back to Edith’s preschool for pick up (3:30).  Actually I was fifteen minutes early and took a ten minute nap in the car.

Come back.  Get Edith unpacked, check in with Marceline and Sam, bunker down to make dinner while Sam heads out for some of her own errands. Just as I finish unpacking groceries so I can make dinner, the cat place calls and says they are ready for pick up.

Sam is half out the door and the groomers are in the opposite direction of where she is going so I load the girls up and we head out to go get the cats and maybe a pizza for dinner.

Getting the cats was no problem, but it’s now 5 and even an order from Little Caesars takes much longer than it should for a fresh and ready pizza.  Despite ordering ahead the girls and I… And two cats sit in the car in the parking lot for fifteen minutes before our pizza is ready because they were behind on orders.

We get home around 6, eat, pajamas and start bedtime routine around seven while I slowly do some cleaning around the house.  Around 8:45 Marceline says she can’t sleep so I grab a pillow and blanket and lay down on her floor where I quickly fall asleep for an hour or so.  I wake up at 10:15 very sore from sleeping on the floor on my back and drag my pillow and blanket back bed, shove a cat out of my spot and crash into sleep for the night.

Like I said.  Busier day than a normal Tuesday and it left me exhausted.  Today… Hopefully moderately better.

Tired.. and its Monday

07172012AJCThe title pretty sums it up.

And I’m sniffly for some reason… feels like allergy sniffly as opposed to sick sniffly.

But the weekend was pretty much a bust.  We missed both midnight showings (but did watch Sharknado…. awesome).  I didn’t get my long bike ride in (although Sam and I went on a nice short bike ride Saturday) and my sleep on Sunday was pretty bad thanks to a crazy (probably schizophrenic) neighbor in my apartment building was talking and screaming to himself for a good 12 hours yesterday from before the sun came up until early evening about god, the devil stealing people’s souls and how ‘gays had to die.’

I will be complaining to the leasing office this afternoon after work.

Anyways…. off to work.  I feel… outside of things right now.  Maybe because I’m tired.

Tired

Unsurprisingly I am pretty tired this morning.

Yesterday was the first day of work since December 20th. I still have trouble falling asleep before midnight. If you don’t count twenty minute naps on the couch at 7:45. That was pretty unavoidable. I laid down holding my iPad above me reading the news and woke up twenty minutes later with the iPad on my chest having passed out.

Not that I was upset, but I spent the rest of the night in a haze waiting to sleep, crawled into bed just before 11 and then BAM… wide awake. Or mostly awake. Around one am I feel asleep.

This morning I even got to sleep in some (woke up at 6:30) and was dragging pretty good.

Tomorrow is going to be busy too. Ikea trip with Sam’s parents tomorrow morning and afternoon (and probably evening) and then a Wussy concert in the even. Sunday though…. Sunday I can pass out and sleep forever.

Tired… Yet Wide Awake

I’m really tired…. Yet wide awake.

It’s kind of annoying. But I guess it’s as good of time as any to update my blog. Little noises seem really loud right now. For example… One of my cats just shook their head. Ear flapping noise was pretty loud. Wind outside… Loud. Neighbor’s tv (across the lot in the other building)…. Loud.

Of course none of those really are loud right now. This makes night number two in a row that I’m not sleeping well. I’m out on the couch so as not to disturb Sam while she’s sleeping. Although Ginger is running around making noise (again that probably only seems loud to me).

Running has been pretty good. I’ve got to get out of the earlier this morning if I want up my mileage. I’ve been getting out the door at 6:45 which only leaves me enough time to run two miles before heading to work. I’d like to make three miles my easy run, but haven’t quite found a good three mile path. I have a two mile path down, and a 3.6 mike one, and I think I have a five miler I can do. Vibrams are holding up strong. No bunion pain. No shin pain. Both good signs.

Oh well. Time to relax and hopefully fall asleep. Cartoons or video games? Or maybe just read til I pass out? My stomach is rumbling loudly. Or is it just loud to me?
