Cooking

As I am staying home, I set some small goals for myself. Read more. Exercise. Try to write letters regularly. Draw more. Blog more. And try new recipes.

A lot of those goals are easy in that it is simply a “more”. I wasn’t reading a ton of books a year. One or two a month is ‘more’. Same for exercise, drawing, blogging.

But with new recipes, I set myself a goal of something new every week.

To help I started looking for new cookbooks or sites to find interesting, easy recipes. I found Budget Bytes a fun site to scroll through. And I found Leanne Brown’s cookbooks. Which are awesome.

Leanne Brown has some free pdf’s of her cookbooks on her webpage. I particularly like Good and Cheap. This week I made Mexican Corn and Peanut Butter and Jelly Granola Bars. Both came out fantastic (particularly the granola bars). Last week I made her Corn Soup. Also fantastic. What I like about her recipes is that they are flexible. Easy to improve on or change to fit tastes.

I’ll eventually post pictures of my food here. But for now have a book cover.
