This just seems like poor planing.  Why would you put a button for a crosswalk three feet from the sidewalk where no sane person is going to try to walk to when covered in snow?  However even though I say that there certainly are footprints in the snow going over to the crosswalk button.  Who!! Why!!  I don’t even know if crosswalk buttons do anything.  From my experience they don’t do anything.  But someone was desparate enough to walk through 8 inches of snow to get to the button.  Moronic.  Of course the original idea of this post is that where the button was placed itself is moronic.
