Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Nine

You squint when looking at the sun. I do too.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Eight

I had this cute little chap stick container. Its not a tube so I don't know what else to call it but a container. Its about 1/3 the size or a regular chap stick tube. So I drew it. WITH CRAZY ROBOT LEGS.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Seven

There is this Simpsons episode where Homer creates a mascot for the Olympics. Essentially its just a spring. When Springfield loses the Olympic bid Homer is stuck with hundreds of springs. So he dumps them into the river. Cars that drive off the river hit the springs and bounce back. Great episode. See.... everyone loves springs.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Six

This is a drawing of me. From when I'm not sure. Maybe from the 90's?

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Five

Draw what you see I've been told. I see TOMATO!!!

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Four

I carry around a bouncy ball at work. I keep in my pocket. When I get stressed I toss it about. Pok!! Stress is gone. Pok!! Calming down. Pok is what I figure the noise a bouncy ball makes sounds like. When you walk into my room and hear Pok Pok Pok you know its been a rough day.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-Three

I usually have a reference drawing when I draw a person. This was done without one. Came out well I think. Not the best, but good.

Do you see him?

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty-One

Sometimes you have a song stuck in your head that is the perfect soundtrack for your life, for that day. Today was the Bends, by Radiohead.

Day Three-Hundred and Twenty

Yes this is for you.

Day Three-Hundred and Nineteen

This doodle is actually really small. Literally and inch or two long. In the corner of my sketchpad. The rest of the page is empty. But it works.

Trees are our friends.

Day Three-Hundred and Seventeen

What path would you travel?

Day Three-Hundred and Sixteen

It was one of those days. Where maybe everything should stop so you can just relax and take a step back from it all.

Day Three-Hundred and Fifteen

Today I listened to the Cure a lot. Seemed like the right kind of music for the day. This is from the song Open.

Day Three-Hundred and Fourteen

Drawing my hand is always tough. I have to keep my hand in the same place the whole time. Usually like fifteen to twenty minutes while I'm drawing with my other hand. It gets tiring.

Day Three-Hundred and Thirteen

I started with the big one, and then drew one of the smaller ones. I liked the small one so much I drew a few more.

Day Three-Hundred and Twelve

I was thinking of someone special today. This is from Car Song by Madder Rose.

|

Day Three-Hundred and Eleven

I was listening to Hum, particularly the song Stars. I pictures laying back and watching stars from a hill. And then randomly drew someone coming over the hill.

Day Three-Hundred and Ten

This turtle sits on my computer desk, as it has every day since I moved to Cleveland. A student of mine gave it to me last year. She carved it herself and wanted me to have it. I like it a lot.

Day Three-Hundred and Nine

Every kitchen needs a rooster. I have two. One is one my fridge. This one is on my computer desk. I believe Jenna got them for me. I think one was hers. Its here now.

Day Three-Hundred and Eight

I drew the fish first. The guy second. Fishy isn't it. There is a Sandman comic from years ago where Delirium walks around with a fish on a rope. So the idea isn't really mine, but it looks good.

Day Three-Hundred and Seven

A start of a new sketchbook. And I drew glasses. I've never been fond of drawing glasses, so I thought it was worth a try.

Day Three-Hundred and Six

This was the last drawing for my current sketchbook. Last page of sketchbook three. Three sketchbooks. 306 days. 306 drawings. So I though a sunset over the ocean would make a good drawing.

Day Three-Hundred and Five

I was napping on my hammock and had my hat over my eyes. I open my eyes to see this great shading darkness on the brim of the hat. I loved it. So I drew it. With some added touches.

Day Three-Hundred and Four

Remember popping people's heads between your fingers. You see them at a distant and squeeze your fingers together and "POP" their head is gone. Me too. It was fun.

Day Three-Hundred and Three

This was. Or is. I don't know. Someone in the rain. With no face.

|

Day Three-Hundred and Two

I liked this one a lot. Sometimes the simplest drawings are the funniest ones. Seriously there is little to nothing to this one. But it rocks.

ajc08042009
|

Day Three-Hundred and One

This is a mish-mash of drawings. Mish-mash. Reminds me of Mush-Mouth.

"Hey Rock, are you sure you're ooooooobbbbbeeeee-kkkkaaaayyybbeee?"

Day Three-Hundred

Remember Dr. Seuss and all of the cool machines he drew in his books. I do too.

Day Two-Hundred and Ninety-Nine

I found these two pictures on the internet. I was searching Lost in Translation, but came up with all these other pictures. I liked them. Kind of sad, but interesting.
